scale_up_delta
Purity commonly falls a few tenths between pilot and production scale, and a result below a laboratory-batch figure is the most ordinary thing in this dataset. Comparing a commercial lot against a research-batch certificate compares two different processes.
lambda_280
Aromatic-selective detection at 280 nm would identify whether C20 diacid mono-amide carries the chromophore. That distinguishes a truncation from a modification in about ten minutes of instrument time.
mass_defect
Before assigning C20 diacid mono-amide from retention alone, check the mass defect on the impurity peak. Plausible and implausible assignments separate cleanly and the check costs nothing.
