Results

Measured against the index acceptance specification for the growth-hormone axis peptides class. A specification is a decision the index made; a result is a measurement. See where each threshold came from.

Chromatogram and peak integration

The figure is drawn from the table. It is not an independent illustration — if a number in the table changed, the trace would change with it.

Figure 1. RP-HPLC trace, 30 min gradient, 214 nm. Drawn from the peak-integration table below: peak positions are the reported retention times, peak areas are the reported area percentages, peak widths follow the reported plate count of 56,729, and skew follows the reported asymmetry factor of 1.18. Baseline noise is seeded from the report ID and is illustrative. The lower panel is the same trace at a stated vertical expansion with the slow gradient drift subtracted, because at full scale a 0.25 % impurity against a 99.36 % main peak is a line two pixels tall; the main peak runs off-scale there by design.

Reporting threshold 0.05 % area. Peaks below it are not reported and are therefore excluded from the total, which overstates purity by their sum — see peak integration.

Section 4

Gravimetric mass balance

Water, counter-ion, residual and total peptide content are exhaustive and mutually exclusive categories. They must account for 100 % of the cake mass. The index closes this to within 0.02 pp and the build asserts it.

Provenance and caveats

Where a sample came from changes the weight of the evidence. The index treats it as a first-class field.

Annotations 5

Signed technical comments from index contributors. Not a discussion forum — annotations question or contextualise the result, and the data team replies where a reply is warranted.

sig_figs
Two decimal places on 99.36 % implies repeatability better than 0.01 pp, which no laboratory here claims. The number is sound; the printed precision is more than the method carries.
Index data team

Two decimal places are retained because the source reports carry them and truncating would discard information where a laboratory genuinely reports it. The uncertainty budget on /methods/uncertainty-budget/ is the right thing to read alongside any purity figure on this site.

c18_2p6
Column chemistry flatters or punishes a figure like this. A core-shell column at this gradient resolves the close-eluting family that a fully porous 5 µm bed merges, so 99.36 % here is a harder number than the same figure from a coarser column.
fill_homogeneity
A high figure on one vial is a statement about one vial. The within-lot spread on the batch rollup is what tells you whether the bulk was well mixed, and it is the rarer and more useful number.
chain_custody
Custody from checkout to injection is documented on this record. Provenance plus custody is what makes a single result generalise past the vial it came from.
RT_shift
That matches my own notes on this compound.
